Artist Submission

ARTIST SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Thank you for your interest in representation by The Art Cellar Gallery. We welcome the opportunity to review your artwork asking that you adhere to the following guidelines: We can only consider submissions which are complete, please provide all requested information. We will return all materials sent for consideration if you provide a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

Send artist submission packets to the attention of Liz Brown, Gallery Director, The Art Cellar Gallery, 920 Shawneehaw Avenue, Banner Elk, North Carolina, 28604 or to artcellar@infoave.net (yes we will accept submissions via e-mail)

1) Resume, Up to date information, including previous and current exhibitions, awards/ recognition, education and pertinent experience. Include a list of current representation, if applicable.

2) At Least six, but not more than 20 images (half of which must be of available works) with information sheet containing title, media, dimensions, year created and retail prices. We accept quality color photographs, slides and quality digital images received via e-mail.

3) Artist Statement which gives insight into your artwork as a whole or addresses themes, concepts or artistic approach.

The Art Cellar Gallery’s focus is on painting and sculpture as we offer exciting, quality artwork in a variety of mediums and styles. Our focus begins with local artists, but we reach throughout the Southern region to present art which reflects the diverse talent found in our area. In the review process, we look at the overall impression of the artwork and it’s quality along with how the pieces relate to work currently represented. We also base decisions on our perceived ability to successfully represent the artwork. We review submissions on an ongoing basis and will reply to all artists.
