Ruthie Windsor Mann

A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, Ruthie Windsor Mann has traveled the world recreating scenes of interest. After graduating from the Webb School of Knoxville, Ruthie earned a Bachelors degree then a Masters degree from the University of Tennessee. She studied art under Jim Gray of Knoxville, intaglio under William Loy and Byron McKeeby, and watercolor in Hungary under Zoltan Szabo. During the 1970's, she was represented by Twerenbold and Sohne of Lucerne, Switzerland and at the 1982 World's Fair, Ruthie was selected as a guest artist. Later that decade, Ruthie was accepted in the Rocky Mountain Watermedia Society, later chosen to lead watercolor workshops for Tennessee art teachers. In 1987, "Roddy Farm", one of Ruthie''s paintings, was selected to become the Dogwood Arts Festival Annual Print - a much coveted award and honor. Throughout the years, Ruthie has participated in numerous one woman and group exhibitions and was the vanguard solo exhibitor for the Webb School Gallery and the Mayors Gallery in Knoxville, Tennessee. Ruthie has a studio in Linville, North Carolina where she resides.
